NEW COVID-19 Update!

Hi everyone,

So, welcome to crazytown where all of our lives have been turned upside down, there is nowhere to go, and the hardest thing to find is toilet paper. Yikes!

Seriously, all of us at HGS Music hope everyone is doing well, staying healthy, and weathering this storm. We are missing all of you as well as each other.

To our currently enrolled students:

We have not been idle and that is why I am writing this letter. We have been in virtual meetings the last couple of days and have decided to move our lessons to an online video format until we can safely return to our studios. The teachers have expressed a real interest in this and there are so many good ideas out there that I am kind of excited about where this can go. I am sure that this will work and we can resume seeing each other for our weekly music lessons.

This week we will be refining how to apply online video technology to our lesson plan, and then begin reaching out to all of you to discuss the best way forward. Hopefully we will be back up and running by the end of the month (fingers crossed!).

Music is an important part of all our lives. It allows us to celebrate in good times and gives us hope when times are tough. Because we are all learning and playing music together, we have become constants in each other’s lives and having our weekly lesson is a normal thing. I think the video lessons can give us back a piece of our normal lives.

In closing, let me say again, LOUDLY, that we miss you guys! You will hear from us late this week and detailed instructions on how to get into your lesson via video will soon follow.

This situation will vary by teacher, and again, we'll go over that information soon. We are going to try and keep our regular schedule and we are asking for your patience as we get this program up and running. Please be safe, take care of those around you, and we will see you soon.

Sincerely,

Dennis Bowman and all of us at HGS Music
